Phillipa Goddard

Phillipa was called to the Bar in 2013 and her practice primarily focuses on estate litigation. She enjoys the complexity and challenges of this practice area, and enjoys working with clients to resolve a dispute or advocate for their rights and needs.

Phillipa’s approach is client focused, with an emphasis on communication and ensuring that the client understands the legal framework and principles relating to their particular circumstances or dispute. Phillipa is direct and enthusiastic in her practice, and is committed to supporting her clients during the often stressful stages of litigation.

Phillipa has experience leading clients through matters relating to Will challenges, Power of Attorney and Estate Trustee conflicts, and disputes or issues arising during Estate Administration. Phillipa regularly appears before the Superior Court of Justice, and has appeared before the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Phillipa represents clients during negotiations, settlement discussions, and mediations. These processes can be crucial in seeking a resolution for clients, in a timely and cost effective manner.

Phillipa enjoys travelling, playing sports, and spending time with her family.
